Here is my opinion....

If you have to add an additional piece of electronics to your vehicle to increase the voltage to make something else work, than maybe you need to find a better something else.. Servo, speedo, RX what ever.

I know the Savox servos suck up a lot of power ( one of the reasons I don't use them) but have you tried running it without the BEC... Does everything work fine.... Just because its a HV servo, doesn't mean you HAVE to run it at high voltage.

I would suggest getting a cap and plug it into an extra slot on the receiver instead of the BEC. The Tekin speedos are great but pairing them with a Savox servo has resulted in some "issues." Add the Spektrum RX into the mix and you all but have to run a cap in the RX.
