Yeah I'm kind of dissapointed in Venom packs myself. My son in Cali got into Rc's. On my recomendation, he bought two new 2S packs, red hard case. One arrived with one cell down in the mid 2 volts range. Low enough the charger wouldn't pick it up. He bumped it to get it up, the battery never acted right. Venom wanted him to send it back. He told them they could be responsible for any fires from it. At least Traxxas is easier to deal with. Send them a picture of the cut leads and they'll probably send you another. Good way to sour sales to noobs.

Oh and they didn't want him to do a salt bath with it. They wanted it hot.
