I don't sand mine. I like the go-no go the square edge gives me on my RH gauge. But I'm pretty picky about rh (anything off more than 2 tenths side to side and I go find out whats wrong and fix it). Not because I think the RH difference causes any discernible handling change for me, but I use it as an indicator of my droop being of in the front or the rear pod getting out of square, or something else.
