(LWB) JCW Mini Cooper, (MWB) CRX, and (SWB) Honda S800.

These bodies are all fairly low in terms of overall height, seem well balanced and you can really tuck the wheels under the body to get the body low to the ground.

I ran w/ the classic Mini for nearly a complete season and realized I hated it. It is top heavy and you can't really tuck the wheels under those fenders so your stuck having it sit kind of higher off the ground than I'd like. ...it's prone to roll. I wanted SWB so I switched to the Honda S800 and love it in comparison. I was able to get the body really low to the ground, the height is considerably lower than the Mini (classic) and it tends to not want to roll when taking corners too tight/sharp.

I've not tried the Nissan body from Tamiya (I think it's the Nissan Silvia or something) ...but it looks like it would be a nice handling body as well.
For now the only rules are for a 17.5 motors... 5mm clearance
I have a Datsun fairlady I might try out... very low to the ground...
