Ive been lucky enough to race against some of the best drivers over the past 20 years, mainly in EP offroad. Its impossible to compare eras / classes, but here are the guys who have consistently been tough to beat:
Last 10 years:
Matt Griffin
Ari Bakla
Craig Laughton
Josh Pain
Andrew Gillot
90s / early 2000s:
Darrin Campbell
Trent McLure
David Crowe
Reece Birtles
There are obviously a few drivers who have shown their class on the world stage, such as Kyle McBride, The Jovanovic brothers, Phil Woodbury.
Ric Bartolozzi would have to be someone who has been at the pointy end of some class or other for longer than anyone else!
I havent raced as much on road but Ryan Maker and Simon Nicholson have been at the front of this class for a while and have both been tough competitors in off-road as well.
Yep, it would be awesome to have an R/C Race of Champions style event with multi-discipline racing!
