Some advantages of better chargers that may be of interest, some already mentioned, include:

Internal resistance measurement, help compare performance and track condition of cell & packs. At least some chargers use the measurements for additional safety checks.

Higher discharging capability, useful for getting any left over fully charged packs into storage for better pack performance and life. Or at the extreme heating up the cells a bit to reduce IR for better performance.

More control of final voltage and charge state for competitive stock racing. Or alternatively to end the charge sooner for modified and playing, avoiding the last bit of slow CV charging can significantly reduce charge time with little loss of run time.

Higher balancing power for less than ideally balanced packs.

More sophisticated firmware, the better chargers charge quicker even at the same amp settings.
