We are running mod 1/12 on outdoor asphalt track. Two of our racer use ex-10 and ex-1. They both have issue with signal if no external battery or booster attached. Rest of us with Sanwa radio run flowlessly with esc's built in booster. Does people notice this problem with KO and any solution beside external booster or battery ?
When I run an LRP 4.0t with the stock rotor (12.5 mm) and a Flow WT with no booster, sometimes my car will hesitate and stutter for a second late in the run if I rip it from a slower speed. If I use the 12.0 mm rotor this is never an issue. I always assumed it was an issue with current draw with the 'faster' rotor, but have never checked with a different radio to see if it happens. It did go away if I used a booster with the Flow WT. My radio is the Helios, EX-10.
What ESCs are these two racers using?
