Hi:
For several time I've been reading the thread, but now I have a question to do. I own a NTC3 with a Rex 12 RN motor (the ones with Turbo crank and 1/4 UNF plug). On the next weeks I'll attend a race in a large track with a main straight of >200Ft long, the rest of the track is very speedy (big turns and only 2 consecutive hairpins).
My question is: What kind of ratio should I pick with this engine for this track, the stock gearing proved to be short, should I go for a 23/27-54/50 or other ratio, please suggest one (I'm not novice on R/C but yes on those greasy and messy things
).
The track conditions can be something like this: 35-40º air temp, >60ºC track temp, 700m upper the sea level and the pipe is the two chamber one, I loved the way sounds the stock pipe, but it's illegal under EFRA rules
The fuel is good quality with 16% nitro (Crash brand).
Dennis or whatever: with the stock head config, the plug don't get any kind of air flow thru the fins of the head, should I rotate 90º to get some air flow to the plug?
