It is quite likely that you will find no difference in performance. The power capacitor smooths out the high frequency ripple and spikes from PWM (partial-throttle motor operation). The manufacturer's original capacitor was (hopefully!) selected to be sufficient, and going larger doesn't do much-- it's a case of diminishing returns.
