The advantage of 16 gauge wire is letting your pod move freely, and I would recommend using it. 16 gauge as opposed to 14 gauge or some other higher gauge is just fine, I have found that TQ wire is the most flexible and as long as you have good soldering joints and any possible power loss due to smaller wire will be easily made up in handling of the free rear pod motion.

Thanks for the answers.. It looks like I might have to try it and see how much it frees the rear pod up. I only have some Novak 16ga wire on hand but if it works better I might have to find me some TQ Wire then..
