On traxxas titan motors, I wouldnt care. they are a disposable motor anyways. I wont use motor spray around any bearing. Its caustic enough to pit the bearing races per AVID.It is made for heavy grease, as in automotive use and strips em dry. I use a cheap citrus cleaner from Walmart or whatever for motors and bearings.
