I have my Shorty mounted forward with ESC behind it as posted by Jeff J in the Diggity thread.
For out 17.5 class there will be a spec limit weight but for one 'track' on gymnasium floor there is no limits in open BL, only a spec tire Shumi Mini Pins. On the wood lower weight the better. I should shed some with the new lighter motor and esc about to go in it.
My weights with out the body, it may not be the right way to do it but I figure if I get the car as light as possible then I know body weights and their effects.
The only steel screws I have are the 8 for the suspension blocks, everything else is either Ti or Aluminum. I switched the shocks out for SpecR plastic bodies. Sanwa small receiver for my MT4, Tekin Rs esc, R1 motor with Yeah Racing aluminum fan mount, Plastic rear axles, Aluminum fronts, lite weight diffs all around with ceramic balls and Orca shorty pack.
Im about 1180g on my scale minus the Bitty MC10 body I run.
