Good analogy.

The NanoTechs have lasted longer because they are a much higher quality battery, the reason they are cheaper is because they don't go through a series of wholesalers, distributors and retailers who all put on a margin. Hobby King products such as NanoTechs go factory - warehouse - you, no middle men taking their 50%.
