Bumps make it hard to have clean mains . Too much focus on bump up then running your main.. You broke qualifying, you hit too much stuff, your equipment failed . All just excuses .. Like it was said above why qualify?
So if you take the bump ups out of the equation.. you are telling me people would drive differently? It's racing and people are going to try to win no matter what. Like I said this sounds like driving etiquette/personal attitude problem.

Why run lower mains? How about if you don't make the A-Main you go home.
