I made my battery tray with lexan, heat gun, and a metal box. I heated the lexan while it layer against the 90 degree angles of a metal box and used oven mitts to pushed it against the edges for sharper bends. If you heat the lexan too much it'll bubble and look like crap. So far the black tmaxx trans is holding up pretty good. I think the main reason people shred gears is because of no lube. I always see dry gears in pictures of shredded gears. Dry gears makes for hot gears. Heat makes plastic soft....
