yeah, there really isn't things I can think of that they can't do to make the truck excellent. The question really becomes do they want to to and see it as cost effective.
I would also like to see them get the width up to the truck to roar legal limits with zero offset wheels, so no more +3s needed.
1/10 4wdSC is the most popular class at every track I have visited, I cannot believe it is not worth the development time. I am honestly wondering if they will simply pull a Techno and base their truck off the buggy. It becomes more reasonable when you consider they planned to have the next rc8 ready well before the status it is currently in.
