yep, if you watch the video you can see the links under it, its just not large enough to accommodate a battery underneath. its hard to tell in that photo but side view photos of the car show that its a little less than 1/2 the height of the side pod and just over .5"" long or at its highest point so it would need a battery no taller or wider than .75". a regular short pack is approximately 1" tall and 1.7" wide.

Mounting the battery across requires a shell without a skinny and/or low profile rear end. Most of the older 90s era bodies work fine. I use jordan 191 and tyrell 019 bodies for that configuration.
