I'm really digging these 1/12 cars...and I think I'd like to get a carpet knife...but on the other hand...

The season where I would race these ends at the end of April... then they are not open until the beginning of November. That is a hell of a wait, and technology could advance in that time.

My problem right now is figuring out if this is a good enough deal to get the vehicle now and race it for maybe a month (still have to set it up and get some new electronics specifically for it) to race it. Plus, it is $15 each time for each class where I would race. That is helluva expensive... also the cars are ROAR judged. I am not a member of ROAR, nor do I know anything at all about it.

Thus, I'm leaning towards not purchasing this and probably purchasing the latest and greatest Carpet Knife before the season starts in November... your thoughts?!
