How do you figure tech went backwards? Current tether car speed record is 214mph. That's a bit more then 71

And those cars in the vid have no control at all. You just push start it and it runs around the track wide open until it runs out of gas. What fun is that? If a bump box is the price for servo controlled throttle and brakes (and steering too of course) I'll take that trade any day.
