Right now (no motor timing adjustment, esc timing normal) the motor doesn't get very warm at all. I'm comparing to the hobbywing 3656SD motor of my Short Course though, which gets very hot.

I'll try adjusting the motor timing, see where it gets me, and then optionally move on to esc timing.

Out of curiosity, what are common motors / escs used for the M05 ?
For local races here it's limited to the Carson Cup Machine / Tamiya Torque Tuned motors, brushed...
But since I'm not partaking in races anytime soon - I first just want to learn to drive - I went the fairly cheap brushless way as afaik brushless motors need less / no real maintenance.
