If you're just using it for RC car batteries might be a bit overkill (I use it for cars and heli's). If it's just for car batteries you could get the PL6.
Using my PL8 with a 45 Amp 1300 watt 24V PS (the power supply was 60.00) and a FMA parallel board I charge 4 2S 7000's in less 30 minutes without putting too much stress on the batteries.
