Actually they don't, or at least the ones I had didn't. They are very close, but are a different thread pitch and didn't thread down far enough to contact the inner seal in the cap. I tried them and they suck air through the lowest bleeder hole. Are you using bladders?
My caps threaded on completely. I just measured the thread length on the the serpent shock bodies and the hpi. They are both 4mm, so they should be bottoming out on the inner seal. Mine don't appear to be sucking air and since they are the same length I would think that they should be fine. I don't know if you got a messed up batch of one part or the other but mine seem to be working fine. Check out the pics
