Wade the the HPI springs are shorter then the standard Tamiya springs, so your ride height will be fine. My LHS can't get hpi springs they have to order hotbodies springs (they are the same) if your LHS has a problem ordering them.

The solution is to run shorter springs. Now to find what the options are. This is kind of annoying. I ordered some HPI silvers but they probably won't work.

Update: My only other guess is that we built our shocks to short, they measure under 57mm end to end. Guys reference 57.5mm on 418 builds. I can unthread the rod end to make them longer and that should help. I will update later with progress.
