Did you ever come down our way? McCulloughs Offroad? And... yes, I agree. Just like a real car the diff shouldn't be filled up the whole way. Not sure why this concept was stated in an instructional video, but I went with someone that has been doing this longer than me. Lesson learned, go with what makes sense in practical application.
