After consulting several people on this matter, you're information is dramatically incorrect!

In actuality smaller spur gears will out accelorate a larger spur!
Larger spur gear will calm down the torque of a brushless motor, generally due to excessive wheel spin coming out of a corner. If you dont have enough pop out of a corner, smaller spur will help. Sponsored and non-sponsored guys have verified this.
