I have two Kill Shot (RPM Stator) and the one the torque rotor is always the fastest on the track. Also I understand that only the 17.5T D3.5 motors are not ROAR legal, the other D3.5's are still OK by ROAR. In addition to the D4 (both those from Trinity and Fantom), other motors I've had good luck with are the ORCA TX and Team Powers. I run 21.5 motors and normally in a field of 10 USGT cars there are at least 6 different motors all running within a second a lap. You just have to have the correct timing and FDR for each motor as there is no one size fits all so it really depends on what's available there. One nice thing about the Trinity based motors is that the rotors are all interchangeable (D3, D3.5, Kill Shots, and D4).
