It is a good idea to replace those screws on buggy tank too, esp. outer two from the pipe side. I've interchanged them with batt cover screws, because they're too short for radiotray to have a good grip. Inner two screws are ok because there is splash guard adding amount of non-threaded area.
All of the upper screws should be replaced the screw will hit the bottom when threaded all the way in on both sides of tank its not worth risking just use shorter screws and no more worries.
