For something that big, the cheapest alternative would probably be using a cheap go cart as the donor chassis and stretch that chassis to fit. I'm not sure how you would set of the steering, but the throttle and broke would be an easy job.

In the end though, you'll have an expensive rc go cart that will destroy that cool cardboard body the second it brushes up against anything.
