Just an observation from a friend of mine who is using one of these..there MAY be a way around it...
Not if you use the temp settings it does not false peek. I let my batteries sit in the discharger over night and as long as I am using the Temp probe it never false peaks. Although if I din;t use it I could see how it could. But the temp probe comes with it so your friend should start using it.
