How would hard wiring to the battery make a difference? Just curious. Or has MRT come out with a new, new style?
I got mine retrofitted by MRT before I heard this so I can't confirm this. But there seems to be an issue that the reciever power has some signal noise that causes the older MRT transponders not work on current lap counting software. By hardwiring the MRT to the battery you get a steady current and the old transponders not get recognized by the software. I'm sure there is more to it on other threads here on RCTECH.
