Yes it will work you will just have to run the 6mm wide spur gear for the 5.
Or you can just buy the new clutch bell. Your choice.

I have been using the old spur gears on my 5 with a brace and I have not damaged a second speed spur at all. They wear out before they strip.
When I say old one I mean the old black ones.
So the new 7mm wide gear is over kill, but I'm happy with that...
