Well quick run down for this weekend at the JBRL Round 4 at Heritage Raceway in Chula Vista, CA.

NB-48 -

Tried my local track setup on the buggy, it wasn't bad, but could be better. Talked to Matt and Daniel and decided on the newest setup posted on the site. Only difference was the shocks as I didn't have the 6x1.5 pistons so ran stock.

The Setup was good, but needed a bit more with the stock pistons. Ended up going 32.5F / 27.5R and it was really hooked. I also think 1 step harder springs would've been better also. First round of qualifying went bad as I had a flameout early on, not sure what happened as the engine ran great for the next heat. But flamed out again at the start of the main I think I know what is causing the issue but I will have to investigate more. Second heat was good, and was on a TQ pace until a crash on the back straight cost me 10+ seconds as the Marshall couldn't get to me with the cars coming down the straight. Still squeaked into the A Main, the top 10 only separated by about 20 seconds. Main started well, but about 2 mins in a car was upside down in the back straight and I smacked it head on at full tilt... I knew I broke something, but the buggy kept driving and I didn't want to stop as I was still making up positions... After another 4-5 minutes she succumbed to her wounds and that was the end of it...(Broken shock, lost side guard, and pipe eventually ripped off) Overall very happy with this buggy and seeing as this was the maiden race, things should only get better.

Thanks to Daniel and Matt for all the help. The LRC mount is great and the effects were very noticeable. If you ever get a chance to race with these guys, do it. Great team till Proline next round
