I agree with the others. That warning appears to just be a legal cover in case you burn something up while soldering. Many if not most shorten their motor and battery wires. Just be sure to leave enough slack for chassis flex, motor gearing adjustments, battery types & adjustments, and I like to leave enough for easy maintenance where it might be an issue.

Servo leads, also OK. Not uncommon to shorten servo leads, especially the OCD crowd. Like mentioned one risk is they may not fit some future use, but can always add a servo extension. Or if you're good go in and resolder a new lead on.
