It's far more easier to just coil up the extra wire around a wrench to make a neater appearance. Once they're cut, too short for the next guy and risk the chance of bad soldering job and creating more problems. I personally don't cut or butcher any wires. If the receiver wire is needing more length, add an extension wire. I always thought that getting the most speed out of a car is more important than how the car under the body looks! Can't see that while under speed! jmo
