I would hesitate to call one better, but for myself I found that a T-bar car is more consistent run to run and is more forgiving in less than perfect conditions; ie. the dirty days at CH. Keep in mind that I grew up on T-bar cars so that feel is more comfortable to me.
I was curious as I have never owned or driven a T-bar car. A few days ago I thought I was lucky and tried to buy an old Trinity Black Widow NIB kit on Ebay but I got an email from the guy saying he didn't actually have it. I had no need for a new 1/12 project anyway, I guess I saved $140 by accident.
