remove the slipper from the car.

Take the spring and compress it flat with a pair of pliers.while your compressing the spring coat the threaded shaft with blue Lock Tight and let dry.

reassemble with about 1/4 in of thread showing past the slipper nut.

Install inside car , can readjust the slipper with a 5/64 driver by sticking it inside the hole in the side of slipper nut.

If you are using brand new pads ?

Will need to break them in a pack or two ,then readjust the slipper to get good acceleration with out it being locked up tight.
