So yes not much there...now as far as the bearings the rear bearing was shot ...first pulled carb and discovered slight rust on crank..finally got motor tore down and p/s and rod all look real good..installed new front/rear bearings and all is good now....do you think maybe shelf life waiting to be purchased could have something to do with it? Oh I was running Byron's but lhs does not stock anymore(which sux guess you have to go with the flow) so now its VP and I just don't know there....miss Byron's....now stuck with a case of possibly bad fuel..
No problems,
Many people get away without using after run oils if they run the fuel out of the engine and a nice film of oil is left inside.. and they run their engines every week or two but this is not something everyone can abide by as different fuels are better at doing this job than others and different environments play a big part also, So this is something everyone has to figure out for themselves as to what suits their situation
I have never seen an engine rust on the shelf in its new state it left the factory in... it would take years for this to happen, it will be since it has been used
Although i read many people not liking VP fuel on rc tech from what i have seen so far out here it seems to be fine
You will never hurt your engine by running it out of fuel whilst its idling
Using and liking a particular fuel and then it not been available does indeed suck!, It is something we see very often here in Australia
