Top speed might be a little less, but lap times were comparable to years past. Between the cars being more planted and the slower speeds, I think the spread between first and last place might be considerably smaller. The TT01 package was about 1 lap slower than a well-tuned VTA car over a 6 minute run.
That may be a problem though, cars being too planted and slower speeds. Granted, anyone will be able to stay on pace, but strategy about runs per tire/battery will be thrown out the window. It will turn into a 1hr sprint instead of a 6min sprint
