I bought a 1/8" thick 6" x 2' sheet of G10/FR4 from McMaster Carr. It cost $20 shipped. While you're on McMaster Carr, get yourself a countersinking bit as well. It's only an extra $10 and very much worth it. You'll also want some 25mm hex standoffs to use for spacing the upper and lower decks. I use those to keep the battery in place.

The G10 I bought is not ideal. The stock chassis is 2mm and 1/8" sheet I bought is over 3mm. The thickness mismatch bothers me quite a bit, plus knowing I've got extra weight I don't need.

Compared to CF the G10 is heavier and flexes more. My chassis is still very stiff, though. It is certainly much stiffer than the dimec 20 chassis was.

I'm bidding on some 2mm carbon fiber on ebay for my next revision. By reducing the thickness and going to CF, I guestimate the new chassis will weigh half as much as my current one, and will look 100% more b*tchin'

For the front kick up, I copied x-factory on that. I took the TD dimec 20 type b plastic chassis and cut the nose off and used the servo supports to bridge the gap between the two pieces.
