Hi Eivind,
Your third quote down hits the nail on the head.
It seems GO have a lot of discontinued stock that was scrapped and never made the market from when R Chen was designing and running the show.
They decided to release the new GXII Plus, but had a warehouse full of parts / motors etc that they now need to clear.
To the best of my knowledge this re released Cera has not been offered to existing GO distributors (not here anyway), but are coming out the back door to put some funds back in the bank.
Same thing happened on here a while ago with the 2 year old Underdog/Champion design that was being touted as an all new motor from GO.
It's the way the market works over there, as Rex (22Racer) mentioned.
Most Taiwanese motors have some percentage of GO manufactured parts in them or on them (their latest 2 needle carb is popping up everywhere, and the GXII epoxy filled crank is floating around in several models of motor it would appear).
It's all good. I simply posted on here what I was told direct from GO over the last year or so. The fact they have now changed their mind and are clearing the racks in the warehouse is a new, and to be expected trend. They are in business to make money, not to sit on old stock that has cost them precious dollars to produce.
It's a little confusing for the customer (and the distributors sitting on current GO stock), but this industry can be that way sometimes
