The increase in cooling efficiency isn't really down to massive amounts of more air being pulled through as the fans are relatively weak. What they do is direct the already present airflow into the correct place (the motor) rather than just gushing around.
My TC4 fan kit should be here tomorrow and on Sunday I'll be doing a back to back comparison with and without the kit with a digital temp gauge.
I'll let you know exactly what I find
