To the new guys at the Toledo track that were having a problem with melting the A-spec battery plugs. I'm not sure if u guys come on this forum but if you do your problem might be with the connectors you guys were using. If you were using banana style plugs to connect the lipos that's most likely your problem. You need to switch your connectors to straight bullets.
Banana style plugs do not make good contact. They cause high resistance and will create a bunch of heat like you experienced. I had the same problem when I first ran the car and used banana style plugs. I switched them out and never had a problem again
