The delay can be turned off on Orion pro's but that is "crawler" mode so there is no brake. With the Orion if the car is stopped there is no delay when you move the trigger to reverse. However if it's moving forward then it brakes until it is stopped then goes into reverse.
That delay is standard to help prevent people from ruining their drivetrain. I find it irratating sometimes when I can't get it when I want it or it comes on when I don't want. But that is just learning how to work it correctly and using some patience.
Thanks for that. I will look into orion's. I don't mind it coming to a complete stop first, I just don't want to have the car sitting there for 3 seconds in "neutral" before it finally decides its ok to go reverse
