need to know if you have the new tranny or the old Trans. the old to speed is like a little hook that comes out. It can eat up the plastic inside the gear. so if you see a silver drum in between the spur gear it is a new clutch shoe transmission . Besure your engine is broken in for proper shifting in the trans. Good luck
