It is all about track size and rollout.
Have been running a 78 tooth spur with a 7.5 motor with power program on a 220 meter long track.
Othere did run a 5.5 with a 81 spur gear.
Tires where 60MM but i have been running 55MM also but with bigger pinion then 25.
