+1 on the overgearing theory. If you're on a track with a lot of slow corners, you might want to try a pinion in the 40/41 range and work your way up if needed.

Your running a 3.5ish FDR which is high for a tight layout on a track that size. Try a 44 or 45 pinion. Make sure your timing is set appropriately as well.

p.s. Heat in the motor is only getting to 130 to 135 after 6 min., so its not getting worked to hard. But will try a lower pinion before going to crazy.
