As a developer myself, I can tell you that there are TONS of different kinds of android devices with different capabilities and different carrier crapware installed. There is no way any company can test on all devices even more so a company whose main focus is on hardware not software.
The hole point of a beta is to get feedback from users and to find those bugs that only popup in the field.
I bought the RX8 in part because it was advertised as being android compatible. I think the app says "beta", but....
Maybe it's a case of putting the cart in front of the horse? I'm starting to think that Tekin is a smaller company than I thought.
I understand R&D, all that stuff. I appreciate the effort that goes into making a good product, but I thought I was getting into a finished product. And I just assumed that it wouldn't be nearly as fiddly as it is turning out to be. This OTG must be a new thing, because I had to put some real effort into figuring out what OTG actually is. It's cool, but apparently it isn't universal.
But it's all good. I'll probably invest in a used netbook to use the datalogging functionality. That is, unless they come out with a version of the app that has more functionality.
