So during my RB6 Build I used Avid axles off the bat. Using Avid they are supposed to run most if not all of the 3rd party wheels seamlessly. Apparently, if using the factory Kyosho axles the 3rd party wheels had to be bored slightly larger with a reamer to work.

Think we'll run into any fitment problems with the SC6 kits?

I'm just trying to have my ducks in a row before the kit gets to me.
The RB6 axles don't have enough thread available for the nut for wheels other than Kyosho, maybe a few more. So they, Avid, came out with longer ones so you didn't have to use a serrated nut on the wheel to have it stay on. This was not an issue with the short course trucks.

As for the hole, I only did that on my SC wheels as a means to prevent breaking an axle. Now I don't know if this was 100% proof that it prevented an axle break but it sure helped my conscience level. Or it could have been just a bad run of axles. Now I just open the hole a little more just so I can easily put on my wheels and most of the time that isn't needed anymore.
