Yeah not sure what constitutes calling something spring but i have seen very stiff springs allmost shatter when pushed past a certain point of deflection. So what is the final concencus on which shafts are best for the front spool? It seems some are happy with stock xray parts, others as is thier want go for aftermarket bits. Should i get some outdrives and shafts as spares? Seems like they break pretty regularly.....
I would always have a supply of outdrives ready.
Standard Xray shafts are Ok, but if you do really want ESC style I would go aftermarket as the difference in cost is huge (can also use aftermarket outdrives)
