I mean it all depends on track conditions. Barcodes may not give the right side bite for the track, and something else is needed. Also full tread height of a new set may not be ideal either. Sometimes they need to be worn in before they start to work. Not to mention inserts. It can get expensive, but playing with tires can really make the difference and solve your problem. Either that or set up the car to suit the tires.
